Kooperman Gillespie Mentel Welcomes Two Attorneys; Launches Litigation Practice.
Columbus, OH, April 7, 2015 – Kooperman Gillespie Mentel (KGM) announced today the additions of Kate Connor Ferguson as a partner in the firm’s new litigation practice and Joshua Borean as an associate in KGM’s expanding transactional, real estate, and technology practices. These new team members help KGM keep pace with a growing client list, which the firm attributes to its refreshing approach to client service.

The firm's Litigation Practice Group enhances its ability to help clients solve a spectrum of legal issues that inevitably arise when running a business. A proven litigator with over a decade of experience under her belt, Ferguson’s practice focuses on business and employment disputes, leading clients to successes in trials, appeals, and arbitration. By joining KGM, she will be able to expand the reach of her practice to the firm's IP, government, and real estate clients as well. Prior to joining KGM, Ferguson was a director at Kegler Brown Hill + Ritter. She is a graduate of Vassar College (B.A.) and The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law (J.D.).
Borean’s practice focuses on advising large and closely held businesses in a variety of corporate issues. His experience includes financing, real estate and software transactions. Prior to joining KGM, Borean worked as an associate at Roetzel & Andress and as general counsel for a leading health care technology company. He is a graduate of Miami University, Farmer School of Business (Finance) and The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law (J.D.). He was named as an Ohio Super Lawyer, Rising Star in 2014 and 2015.
